Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation policy is designed to be as fair as possible to all parties...
Cancellations can occur for a multitude of reasons ie due to bad weather, heavy wind or rain etc...
We have set the following guidelines to keep cancelling an event as simple as possible and financially agreeable to all parties...
Our cancellation policy varies depending on the value of your booking...
General rules
Payment of any bookings over £100 will be required at time of booking.
Payment of bookings under £100 may be paid for in advance or by cash on delivery.
Booking values up to £100 pounds...
If you wish to cancel the booking
If your booking is of a total value no greater than £100.00 then you may cancel your booking up to 48 hours prior to the event without any financial penalty, the cancellation must be in writing and confirmed as cancelled by us...any deposit made will be returned to you as a voucher for a future event...
Cancelling within 48 hours of the your scheduled delivery time will mean that full payment will still be due as it is unlikely we will be able to rehire your items therefore we would suffer financial loss...
If we arrive at your booking as scheduled and you wish to cancel then full payment will still be due as we have fulfilled our part of the contract.
If you wish to cancel due to bad weather on the day you may do so but unless the weather is deemed to be unsafe by us 50% of the booking value will be payable.
Bookings of £100-500 pounds
If your booking value is over £100 and less than £500 then you will have paid a 50% deposit... this deposit is non refundable in any circumstance...
If you wish to cancel your booking at anytime you will forfeit this deposit...
You may cancel upto 48hours before your scheduled delivery slot and not have to pay the remaining balance, any balance you have already paid over 50% will be refunded.
Bookings over £500
If your total booing value is over £500 you will have paid the full balance to confirm your booking...
This amount is non refundable in any circumstances...
If you wish to change the date 20% charge will apply, must be changed no later than 1 month to event date.
If the event is cancelled by us due to bad weather then any balance paid can be used towards a future event within 12 months.
You may cancel at anytime up to one month prior to event date and any balance paid will be retained for a future event within 12 months.
Refunds will be made for any staff or equipment booked and not present at the event.
If we cancel
It is very rare that we would cancel a booking, whilst we do everything we can to ensure we carry out every booking as booked occasionally things beyond our control can cause us to have to cancel,
Staff shortages - occasionally staff let us down and we are unable to deliver as we would like so may be later than planned or have to cancel your event altogether, if you have booked a supervisor we may only be able to provide the equipment.
Vehicle breakdown - we run a fleet of vans and occasionally these breakdown meaning each van has to deliver more or sometimes we may have to cancel altogether.
Damaged equipment - our equipment is used by multiple events each year and occasionally gets damaged due to misuse or general wear and tear, if this happens to an item you have ordered we will offer an alternative or may cancel altogether, if you have multiple items booked don't worry only the damaged item will be replaced or cancelled.
With all of the above a full refund of any payments made will be sent to the hirer for any items or staff not present...
Weather - Whilst light rain and a mild breeze are ok, heavy wind or rain will likely cause it to be too dangerous to use some equipment, if an indoor alternative is not available it is likely we would have to cancel your booking on health and safety grounds... we carry wind speed detectors and monitor forecasts to assist our decision and will always keep you informed.
In the event of bad weather all payments made will be held in credit for a future event within 12months (ie postponed event) or you can choose a 50% refund.
It is likely that we would have spent out on your event and may still need to pay staff etc... so 50% ids justified to cover those costs.
On day cancellation by us due to poor site or access or power issues.
We will turn up to every booking with the equipment ordered and be ready to install at the agreed time and location...
It is down to you to ensure the following
There is sufficient mains power supply for all of the items you have ordered, please call if not sure
That you have adequate space for the items you have ordered INCLUDING space around for anchorage and mats etc...
Access is free and easy, cleared of any rubbish and other items which may block our entry to the setup area.
The site is clear of any items or mess
If you have any questions regarding space required or access issues please raise these before we arrive...
If we turn up and cant get in or the setup area is too small or full of mess and items or there is insufficient power we reserve the right to cancel your booking with full payment still being due.
